🎅 A Look Back at Our 2025 Dallas Santa Mini Sessions ✨
What a magical Christmas season we had at Peppermint Studio!
Our 2025 Santa Mini Sessions took us straight to the North Pole Post Office, surrounded by Christmas packages, twinkling lights, snowy details, and of course, our beloved Santa Pappy.
Every year, I’m reminded that the best Santa photos aren’t always the perfectly posed ones. They’re the little moments in between — a child whispering a secret into Santa’s ear, a big belly laugh, a warm hug, a curious stare… and yes, sometimes a few tears!
That’s what makes each Santa session so special. No two children experience Santa in quite the same way, and I love capturing their story exactly as it happens.

Santa Minis aren’t just for the kids!
We always love starting with a beautiful family portrait with Santa, especially while everyone is fresh and ready. It’s a wonderful opportunity to capture the whole family together for Christmas cards and holiday keepsakes.
And don’t worry about making everyone match perfectly. Coordinating colors photograph beautifully, but I personally love a thoughtfully MIX & MATCH look over everyone wearing exactly the same thing.
Choose pieces that complement each other while still letting everyone’s personality shine.
The Sweetest Santa Secrets 🎅🏻
One of my favorite parts of every Santa Mini is watching children actually interact with Santa Pappy.
Some arrive with a very important Christmas list. Others have stories to tell. And apparently, some secrets are meant for Santa’s ears only!
These little conversations create some of my favorite photographs because the expressions are completely genuine.
Babies + Santa: Expect the Unexpected!
Baby’s first Santa visit is always an adventure.
Some babies immediately fall in love with Santa’s fluffy white beard. Some stare at him very seriously. Some smile…
…and some decide that Santa is absolutely NOT happening this year. 😂
And that is perfectly okay!
Those crying Santa photos often become the images parents laugh about and treasure the most. We never force a smile. Instead, we work with whatever your little one gives us and capture the moment for exactly what it is.
Sometimes, just seconds after the tears, we get an entirely different reaction!
From Toddlers to Big Kids
Santa magic isn’t only for the littlest ones.
I especially love photographing older children with Santa because their sessions often become much more interactive. They can tell Santa stories, whisper their Christmas wishes, joke with him, and sometimes even make Santa laugh.
We always try to capture a mixture of traditional portraits and closer, more playful interactions so your final gallery feels like a little Christmas story rather than a collection of identical poses.
